Judge Sargus allows people to abuse drugs in Ohio and then threaten to rape and murder a disabled person. Thats all you need to know about him.

This judge is very practical and very fair. He has an excellent rapport with juries. He will let you try your case.

This judge is humble, but very capable. If an attorney takes the time and energy to explain a point with merit, he will listen and be persuaded. He does not suffer lawyers whose egos are bigger than their brains.

A complex case before him is a train wreck waiting to happen. He is not nearly as smart as he thinks he is and, once he has decided something, he stops listening.

We had a TRO motion before him and he did a Herculean job in getting the sides together to resolve their differences without the need to rule on the motion. Very creative with respect to his participation in the negotiations. Candidly, one of the best judges that I've encountered in a long time.

Actually gave advice to the AUSA at sidebar during trial as to how to get out of the witness the information that my successful objections were blocking. I objected to the instructions and he just rolled on with them. Found ways around Crawford that are baffling and unsupportable. Seemed a doomed case from the start and ended that way.
