Feels entitled due to the robe and it shows! Completely and utterly taken with the power of the office. Seems more interested in her personal schedule than actually performing the job. Seems to have forgotten that the judgeship is an honor, not a nuisance. Hideously invariable or hearing that she may actually be wrong in something. Ego is larger than her courtroom.

I can't say enough how much I like and admire Judge Scholer. She was thrown into a position where judges were sending her the oldest, most complex cases from the get-go and she met with every single one of them her first month in tenure. She favors in-court discussions and is involved in the settlement process along the way, attempting to steer an honest and even resolution. She is even-handed and fair and I hope to be in front of her again someday.

As a thirty-year federal litigator, I have to say that watching this newly appointed judge navigate the complexities of federal jurisprudence is like watching a chimpanzee try to steer an ocean liner through a crowded port. And unfortunately, she seems to enjoy running into things. You can practically hear shrieks of simian delight as she ignores fifty years of federal precedent and sends your case into the abyss. I predict oceans of reversals in the next several years.
