Great Judge. Very considerate of the parties, jurors, and lawyers. He is very serious about even the smallest of cases. It was a pleasure to have a trial with this Judge.

An exceptional jurist. Bright, even-handed, and fair. He wove practical realities into a complex decision and facilitated a settlement that no one, including me, believed possible. He is everything honorable about the federal bench and the practice of law.

Very bright, even-handed, and even-tempered. Has a very nice temperatment, and understands litigation from the practitioner's perspective. Firm but not rigid. Exhibited both firmness and flexibility in scheduling. Was very helpful to the parties in achieving a settlement.

Upon appearing before this Judge for the first time, he extended his hand for a handshake and said 'Hi, I'm Paul Engelmayer.' I was astonished (in a good way), as the Judge's conduct demonstrated a sense of humility that often gets lost when a human being becomes a 'judge'. During the conference, the Judge was genuinely inquisitive and even tempered.

This Judge is arrogant - politically motivated - authoritarian - biased -- and clearly ambitious to climb the judicial ladder.
