I tried three fairly odd civil cases before her a few years ago and found her to be so pleasant & accommodating, while keeping absolute control of the somewhat volatile litigants. At risk of seeming sexist, I have to say that she is as tough & unshakable as the old grissled guys, yet never conceals her femininity. I remember telling my daughters, who were teens at the time, to skip school to attend a day of trial to observe a smart, decisive & fearless woman performing superbly in her field.

Judge St. Eve is an absolutely outstanding jurist - well prepared, courteous, fair to all parties. She handled a highly complex, both factually and legally, civil case in an expeditious and just manner. An outstanding judge with a bright future.

Judge St. Eve respects the lawyers who appear before her and is reasonable in accommodating their needs. I did not get the relief that I sought, but her ruling was fair and courteous. A breath of fresh air!

One of the few good decisions that W made in his 8 years was appointing St. Eve to the bench. Like prior posts, I have no doubts that she is incredibly conservative, but that does not appear to influence her decision-making. She clearly loves her job and wants to get it right, not just right now. If she could just start her call as scheduled - i.e., at 8:30, and NOT 8:20 or 8:25, I would rate her a perfect 10.

She's a wonderful judge and a wonderful person. She has issued some high-profile rulings with which I disagree, but her legal writing and analysis is top notch. She is a fair, thoughtful and courteous judge.

I though she started out looking like she was going to be a disaster - she jumped too fast and made strange rulings based on her desire to rule quickly. After an awful first year or so, she has grown considerably. Now she is a thoughtful and fair jurist. I do not doubt for a moment that she is extremely conservative individually but I do not see signs that she lets her political philosophy interfere with her ability to be fair as she sees it. She also showed signs of great compassion toward me when I had a family issue that required some delicate handling in scheduling. I rate her an A plus.

I have tried cases in front on many judges both in the State and Federal systems. I usually don't respond to these types of things, but I must say Judge St. Eve is one of the best, if not the best, judge I have ever appeared before.

Anyone who gives St. Eve anything less than a '10' for puncuality either (a) doesn't know what they are talking about, or (b) have an axe to grind and will give her a low grade across the board. Smart, efficient and beyond punctual. I have had her five or six times in the past couple of years and she has always said or done things to help the parties get the case settled or prepared for final disposition, in the least stressful way possible.

I am hard pressed to find a judge who shows her political inclinations as much as her. Starr report appointee. She is smart, efficient and likes her job, but is conservative, conservitive, conservative. She will settle a case with the parties.

Asking about Judge St. Eve's punctuality almost sounds like a punchline. She is notorious for being on the bench 15 minutes early and feverishly asking parties 'are both sides here yet?' But that's fine because you know she enjoys her job and, from my experience with her, does it EXTREMELY WELL. Smart, efficient, and reasonable. She won't let cases age, but she doesn't steamroll you either. Definitely court of appeals material.
