I have appeared before this judge back when he was a state court judge, and during his tenure as a federal court judge. He is very smart, very fair, always courteous, and quite accommodating. He has no political agenda in his rulings. He follows the law, period.

A favorite; he has to be one of the nicest judges in the country (I have practiced in other jurisdictions). He is also bright and accommodating. He follows the law and knows he is a Judge, and not a legislator.

To: Judge Steeh. Your ruling on 'Obamacare' will not affect me as I have No Intention of complying. I don't have health insurance and don't intend on buying any. This is my right as a U.S. citizen. You are invading my privacy when you ruled the way you did. I'm surprised at you.I thought you were smarter. If and when the government imposes a mandate to buy 'life insurance' because unlike the health care law, EVERYONE MUST DIE EVENTUALLY so why doesn't the government impose that mandate? I'll tell you why, because it's unconstitutional. Hopefully, this will be a mute case as I'm sure the Supreme Court will have judges who actually abide by the law instead of 'interpreting it'. Bottom line, if by a slim chance this monstrosity does go into effect, I hereby am giving you and member of congress and the President (I've written to them as well), I WILL NOT RELEASE ANY HEALTH RELATED INFORMATION TO THE IRS, PERIOD!!! I didn't join the Air Force during the VietNam War era to let some tin badge marxist tell me what I can and can not purchase. Have a nice day.

What is wrong with you crazy liberals. Have you all lost your minds? If someone does not want to be around fags and queers, that is their right. Unless you are like Hussein Obama and you no longer have rights in this country

I have been before Judge Steeh both in Federal Court in Civil Litigation and in State Circuit Court for a criminal case. He is very courteous to both the litigants and counsel that appear before him. He is prepared and prompt. But he does tend to be harsh when it comes to sentencing.

Judge George Caram Steeh of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan was appointed by President William J. Clinton. What a mistake! Judge Steeh seems to be a devout Republican. He fails to give pro se litigants a fair opportunity to present their cases. Judge Steeh's motto seems to be to summarily dismiss the case of a pro se litigant as fast as possible in order to clear his statistics and in order to not have to deal with the pro se litigant. Summary dismissals are supposed to be used only when a case is frivolous or malicious or when a plaintiff clearly fails to state a claim upon which relief may be granted. Judge Steeh, in addition to dismissing a pro se litigant's case, often will deny leave to proceed on appeal in forma pauperis to the pro se litigant on the ground that no jurist would be of the opinion that any other jurist would disagree with Judge Steeh. Judge Steeh has been reversed in pro se cases several times. Yet the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit does not take action against Judge Steeh to stop this nonsense.
