Mild-mannered, even tempered judge with great ability to listen, read and decipher all types of legal issues. Also makes younger lawyers feel comfortable, and tries to bring some levity if things tense up. I have never seen him get excited or embarrass anyone. Honest man, and a legal scholar.

It is a shame that this excellent magistrate judge was never considered for an Article III judgeship. His intellect and temperament surpasses by a lot the district judges in Puerto Rico.
