Given his comments concerning Fumo's wrongdoings ('It's not murder...not even assault....It's nothing violent. It's not the selling of a political office.') it's easy to see that Buckwalter lacks common sense. To my knowledge no one ever said that Fumo was guilty of violent assault. He didn't sell his office? So, Buckwlter wants to split hairs. Fumo clearly grossly abused his office, over a long period of time, in any manner of ways. And, given the lenient sentence he put to Fumo, it's easy to see that Buckwalter lacks judicial judgement as well.

His sentence on Mr Fumo is ludicrious,he is out of touch with the populace. Mr.Fumo's malfeasance merits harsher punisment. Thanks

I cannot understand Judge Ronald Buckwalter's decision to disregard the spirit of the minimum mandatory guidelines and create his own standards. Handing down a lenient sentence due to Fumo's good works and his 'exceptional' service while in office is an affront to common sense and decency. How could Judge Buckwalter be so wrong in his decision? The only answer is to appeal the lenient sentence to a higher court, perhaps one that may review the case for it's merits not it's 'good deeds.'
