Very questionable judicial temperament; a bit hot-headed and seems to take great pleasure in denigrating counsel. Can't really speak to his jurisprudential qualifications, but I was quite taken aback by his brash manner during a routine case conference.

If I could, I would try all of my cases in front of this guy. He keeps things moving without it ever feeling stressful or pressured. Patient and polite. Listens and truly contemplates counsel's views on legal issues. I lost the trial, but it was still a great experience.

Judge Briccetti is simply one of the best judges in the country. He is smart, courteous and respectful. As a former lawyer he understands the profession better than almost every other judge on the bench. His decisions are well reasoned and well researched. You can only hope that you have Judge Briccetti in all of your cases.

Based on my experience with Judge Bricetti, I find him to be rude, discourteous and unprofessional. In an off the record conference, he made glowing statements about my adversary. While these may be true, I fail to see how his personal opinion about a lawyer is related to the merits of my case -- which is all that should concern a good judge. He was too much of a coward, of course, to make these statements on the record. His behavior is unbecoming of a respected, competent jurist. Such blatant partiality for one lawyer over another WITHOUT REGARD TO THE MERITS OF THE CASE is another example of why our legal system fails those who need it most.
