Judge Marshall has always aspired to his position, and he deserved it. He is even-tempered and even-handed, and he works hard to research the law and follow it. His lone drawback is that he tries too much to emulate his mentor and idol, Richard S. Arnold, and so he tries to be too artful and clever in his written orders and decisions - something that came naturally to Judge Arnold, but not Judge Marshall. As a result, his decisions often can be slow in coming, but he is a rookie and will grow out of that and emerge into his own.
