Judge Real is an authoritarian bully who, literally, answers to no one, not even the Ninth Circuit. As of 2009, upon reversal of his decisions, the Ninth Circuit routinely remands to a different judge because Judge Real won't follow the Ninth Circuit on remand. Unfortunately, this occurs almost always in unpublished memoranda.
