Judge Real is a great judge. Very smart, fair, and hardworking. If you've got your stuff together, you'll have no problem in his courtroom. If you don't, you'll have problems. This goes for both sides. If you're right on the facts and the law, you'll win; if not you'll lose. Almost invariably he's the smartest and most prepared person in the courtroom. It IS a bracing experience to appear before him.
