Not the brightest bulb. He denied a motion to file an amicus brief on a motion to dismiss an indictment because he couldn't find any support for it in the rules or caselaw. I mean, there's no support for amicus briefs in district court at all, so I don't know what that has to do with anything. Anyway, he struck me as overly cautious and kind of short-sighted.
