We had a civil case against a series of attorneys constantly replaced then finally prose. The judge kept motions without ruling for months. Every conference was an extension for new attorneys. His chambers conferences were 'show and tell' for his clerks or some prosecutors in training, never substantive. He was bombastic, overreaching and delayed a case at least two years more than it needed to go. Never really listened to anyone but himself.
