Have only been before Judge Mahoney in one case so far, in which he was too lenient on discovery issues (e.g., allowed plaintiff's numerous extensions and additional depositions at the eleventh hour). Judge Mahoney was better at managing Plaintiff's overbroad written discovery requests to third parties in the case, although he largely left it to counsel to agree on parameters in a Rule 37 conference (i.e., he should have taken a more active role in addressing the objections of the non-party respondents).
