In my 35 years appearing in federal and state courts, Judge Larson is one of the three top judges that I have encountered. He is open-minded, very smart, well-prepared, and willing to make some hard calls based on the law. He likes his work and respects the effect that his decisions will have on the parties. He does not discourage civil rights lawsuits against the police for misconduct.
