While slow and deliberate, in the cases I have had before him, His Honor has shown an ultimate ability to narrow down the isseus and parse them in a scholarly, as well as practical, fashion. He is quite competent in complex civil matters and with time on the bench has grown into a magistrate that (while I not always pleased with his decisions) gives me confidence that civil discovery will ultimately proceed even-handedly.
