THE ROBING ROOM

In over 30 years of practice, I don't think I've ever come across a judge who made more precipitous and unfounded precipitous decisions than Judge Der-Yeghiayan. I know that I've never seen another judge issue more rulings on motions, without allowing the attorneys to argue, than him. In each setting I have encountered him, he has reversed himself on multiple occasions, and aside from his temperament, is fairly opposite of what I think most would like to see in a judge. To coin a phrase, he is often wrong, but never in doubt.
