Denlow is good and I would consent to him over many of the district judges. He has a breadth of civil litigation experience that is far superior to that of several district judges (too many former prosecutors and government lawyers in the N.D. Illinois who have no clue about civil litigation). Denlow authored this article about how summary judgment is overused in federal court. I thought the article was nonsense and just revealed his desire to try more cases (similar to Judge Shadur). Nevertheless, Denlow still appears willing to grant summary judgment when it is warranted.
