THE ROBING ROOM

I had one of Judge McKenna's first criminal cases, and it involved two defendants who bought vintage cars with counterfeit cashier checks. One of the defendants was truly a reprobate and the AUSA, none other than Miguel Estrada, spoke at sentencing of how this defendant was beyond redemption. Judge McKenna stopped Miguel and said that he did not believe than anyone was beyond redemption. Judge McKenna represented a right to life group before being appointed, and the mistake the Republicans made was that they did not realize that he believed in the right to life for everyone.
