Judge Ellis has been an appalling spectacle in the Manafort trial, culminating in the most lenient sentence for a despicable man who has shown no remorse in court or otherwise. Ellis' clear bias against the prosecutors indicates he needs to leave the bench since he cannot follow his oath to ensure justice and even handedness in his handling of criminal trials such as these. Ellis' shameful behavior points to the fact that such judges should NOT be appointed for life.
