Judge Brazil is a one-off judge. Erudite, unfailingly polite and somewhat eccentric, he is one of the most fair-minded and intellectually honest judges (magistrate or otherwise) in this district. I especially appreciate the respect he accords to criminal defendants, and the genuine interest he displays in their lives.
