He has to be one of the most incompetent federal judges I have ever seen. It is too bad because he appears to be a hardworking judge. The problem is that he is in way over his head. He just does not get many of the issues before him. He tries to mask his utter incompetence and lack of understanding with his very 'unique' style of conducting oral arguments. I know his brother is the MI attorney general and he was just about the only Republican state judge in Wayne County who was not over 70+ years old. But, this is just about the worst kind of political hire.
