The week before, Judge Grosjean expressed the opinion that the case wouldn't settle at the MSC but it went on as scheduled. When counsel said the same thing in private caucus at the MSC, she ordered the parties back into the courtroom. There, she announced to all that the defendant had wasted her time because it was 'not prepared to settle on reasonable terms'. She later issued an order granting leave of Court for the other parties to request reimbursement for the costs incurred to prepare for an attend the MSC. Her temperament and breach of confidentiality was unprofessional.
