THE ROBING ROOM

A poor mediator. Acted like an indifferent judge in settlement discussions. Did not connect with my client at all. Did not help the reconcilliation process. Did not thoughtfully discuss the case with client. No empathy. Knocked in before mediation, then held opening session in court room and sat on the bench, spent little time with my client and was irritated that things were taking too long. We need masgistrates to go to mediation training and act like private mediators. Otherwise, we are better off with a private mediator. Was very disappointed in this judge's mediation skills. Will not mediate with this judge again.
