Judge Lum is quite intelligent, thoughtful and very involved. She quickly committed to memory a somewhat detailed factual scenario involving a course of conduct/injury spanning several months and involving multiple parties on each side. This really fostered a fair and expedient resolution of a frenzy of discovery issues presented to her. She is also very nice and she is a pleasure to appear before. My only constructive criticism would be that she is a little too reluctant to pull the sanctions trigger and may need to press parties harder in settlement conferences.
