Tried one case in front of Judge Reed a few years back. He generally did a good job, although I agree with the commentator on his evidence rulings. He uses a telephone system for sidbars that doesn't work well and doesn't always understand the grounds for objections before he makes them. I won the trial, but he made a couple of law rulings against me that were just off. Overall, I like him and would happily take him again. You need to be prepared and to know your file - he may be old, but he's still got his marbles. Takes forever to rule on civil motions.
