The Judge is very smart. The problem is when the Judge meets with prosecutors prior to trial. This is what happened in the Rubashkin case. Freedom of information Act revealed that Reade secretly was meeting with prosecutors for 10 months. Reade says that it was only to prepare the courts for the case. Obtained emails show otherwise. Maybe you could appeal her judgment? Not really. Just before the appeal on her 27 year conviction - she was sitting on other cases with 2 of the 3 appellate judges. In my opinion, a judge should not secretly meet with prosecutors and should not meet with the appellate judges.
