THE ROBING ROOM

The judge is very thoughful and even-handed in his decision-making process and flexible when it comes to acommodating schedules (within reason). He understands both civil and criminal litigation and it's a surprise that he hasn't yet been elevated to the Article III bench. He is an example of why practicing in the EDNY is a joy -- he focuses on what's important to the parties, spots issues that no one else sees and is patient but firm in his approach. He treats all parties as if they have the most important case on his docket and he takes the time to truly listen to parties before he rules.
