As an out-of-state plaintiff's counsel, admitted pro hac in a removed case, I had an exceptional experience before Judge Thynge some time ago. [In Chambers: 'Call me Mary Pat.'] Her Honor had only one thing before her: a single civil case and she was concerned with it and cared about the parties and the lawyers and was determined to get it settled. She was a literal workhorse and spoke, cajoled, researched, and spent hours to get the case settled. I was impressed with her then and, reflecting back, have not had appeared before many federal judges that could match her for being a complete and total package: a caring, prompt, knowledgeable, likeable, extremely professional and top tier model judge. I am pleased that so many colleagues think as highly of Her Honor as I do , yet slightly disappointed that she has not been elevated to a District Judge. A true credit to the federal judiciary.
