Pleasant and hard working. Apparently attempts to be fair, but compared with other magistrates in the Eastern District it is my opinion that she favors corporate defendants, particularly in discovery and admissibility of evidence issues, where in her role as magistrate she is accorded much discretion. I have recently experienced what I regard as an attempt to force an impecunious plaintiff to settle cheap by issuing an adverse, and questionable, evidentiary decision just prior to the settlement conference.
