I have nothing but admiration and respect for Judge Schenkier. He is thoughtful, incredibly intelligent and very hard-working. Sure, he has moments when he can be aggressive (particularly when he is forcing you to recognize weaknesses in your case during a settlement conferece) but THAT'S HIS JOB. If you want or need a smart judge willing to roll up his sleeves, then consent to him. I have on multiple occasions and I have never been disappointed. Have I settled for more than I would have preferred, yes. Was it a fair outcome: absolutely.
