Judge Anderson is a strange man. We had a major criminal case in his court and he went out of his way to show he was the smartest guy in the room. In so many words, I said, 'Dude, you are the smartest guy in the room,' and he let me alone. Instead, he pilloried the AUSA on arcana in the indictment process. At the end of the day, however, he tweaked a plea agreement to the detriment of the defense.
