THE ROBING ROOM

Judge Kaplan is a bit temperamental, but he is smart, and generally very fair. My only real concern is that, while he usually makes the right decisions, he can sometimes muddy the waters by writing R&R's such that the losing party gets every benefit of the doubt, regardless of whether it's appropriate or even accurate. While that displays his desire to be fair, it can lead to poor precedent. I would prefer he write R&R's to accurately reflect the evidence, even if the result appears harsh for the losing party.
