THE ROBING ROOM

This is one very capable, fair and learned magistrate judge who long ago should have been elevated to the district court, if not the Second Circuit. Unfortunately, the senator making the judicial recommendations feels that demographics and political expediency trump merit and quality. What a shame. We could have been graced with an even more competent district court had Judge Gold become an Article III judge. Shame on Schumer and his warped notions of judge shopping.
