As opposed to Judge Crabb, who is unfailingly polite but demonstrates her desire that the party in a position of power or authority win the trial through her strikingly disparate trial rulings, Judge Shabaz gives litigants the fairest jury trials they could ever have. He grants no extensions, brooks no delays and sometimes speaks harshly - but to everyone, equally. The dispatch with which he handles his cases has influenced the state court judges in Madison for the better. From a plaintiff's point of view, everything that can be done before filing suit must be done, since there will be no more than nine months between filing and trial.
