He's a better than average judge in the CD Cal., though obviously one or more criminal defense attorneys who have posted here (sometimes with remarkably similar comments - seriously, do we really think two different people elected to use the word 'dullard'?) don't think much of him. Far better than some of the Dubya-appointed judges, like Anderson, Wright, and Walter, whose interests appear to be largely in protecting corporate defendants and dismissing cases with as little work on their part as possible.
