It is a shame that Federal Judges are not held to the same standard of the ability to decide fairly on the merits of a case as a prospective juror is. Shouldn't a judge with a strong bias for or against a particular issue, have the courage of this conviction and recuse him or herself from a particular action? (To take a twist on an old saying: Better to say nothing at all and have people think you are an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.) We can only hope she has the good fortune to retire at 65. (Would be our good fortue too!)
