I haven't checked several boxes I could have - most notably temperament and 'evenhandedness' - because, in Judge Mullen's case, they're not really susceptible to being given a number without a description. Judge Mullen is an excellent judge and a veritable robed crusader. But don't be wrong in front of him and, in particular, don't be cute, clever, or play fast-and-loose with the truth. If you do, you'll be punished (much like you should be in every other such instance, but rarely are.) A breath of fresh air when faced with an intransigent litigant with no legitimate arguments on the merits who relies on obfuscation and gamesmanship in lieu of a defense.
