Lacks the intellect to be a good judge. Opinions and rulings are erratic and rambling. Does not research his opinions particularly well, or even at all. Is constantly pontificating from the bench and during unnecessarily lengthy phone conferences. Loves to put forward rambling ECF docket notations, complete with spelling and grammatical errors, dumping on lawyers and threatening them with sanctions. Lacks a grasp of even basic aspects of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Loves to criticize counsel for no good reason other than to satisfy his gigantic ego. Is largely worthless for his ability to settle a case, especially one that is complex. Is often too emotional and takes things personally. Will throw a hissy fit if challenged.
