I have appeared before Judge Spatt on numerous occasions in both criminal and civil cases. He showed me patience and respect. He is a very tough judge and you had best appear in court fully prepared to argue your case. 'Dot every I and cross every T, and if the law is on your side, you will win.' I will add, however, that sometimes Judge Spatt does what he thinks is right rather than what the law requires in cases. However, and I cannot over-emphasize this, come prepared: know your law, know your facts, speak up gently, and you will prevail. It is up to you to show the judge where the case should go.
