Insecure, and compensates for this with anger and ill temper. Hates surprises in court, because she doesn't feel comfortable handling them. Has been reversed more than once for abuse of discretion. Tends to favor the government in criminal cases, but will show compassion to poor, vulnerable defendants at sentencing. Favors the government/police as defendants in civil rights cases. She will play favorites with lawyers, and has preconceived notions about the merits of cases based on who the attorneys are, but I doubt she even realizes she's doing it. All this said, I shudder to think that there are other judges out there who are even less qualified for such an important and powerful position.
