Judge Brody completely ignored, forgot, or never knew the laws which allows for multi-level fraud. Incompetent, bias, lacks integrity. She was alleged by litigants to be a disgrace 1/2011. Consider how much she declined while remaining on the bench more than a decade later. Awful Judge.

Judge Brody is long past her time to preside over complex cases. The legal principles overwhelm her and she relies on the power of her position to compensate for her shortcomings. Her bias is manifest to all. Woe to those not in her favor, who will not abandon their principles and demean their integrity for her sake. She is unable to speak an entire sentence within the same line of thought. She is constantly confused, erratic in her mood and demeanor, and needs to go. Her retirement is long past due.

Well past her expiration date. No grasp of complex legal concepts. Seem to rule as if she were King Solomon with little to no grounding in the actual law or precedent. If you have a complex case before her assume you will end up in appeal.

I had a case before Judge Brody where she completely misunderstood the legal issue, denying a dispositive motion because res judicata was inapplicable -- when the argument turned on the issue of waiver and 'res judicata' was never mentioned. A disappointment, because she did not rule on the issue at bar.

Judge Brody was constantly confused as to which parties were on the side of the plaintiff and which parties were on the side of the defense. Topics had to be re-explained constantly during the entire trial for her to understand what was going on. She appeared to have difficulty comprehending the nuances of the case. Her mood swings were manic in nature - from extremely light-hearted to very mean-spirited. She appeared to be strongly influenced by theatrics and appearance rather than legal substance. At one point in the trial, she said 'once this goes to trial'. After she said this, one of the lawyers pointed out to her that we were in trial. This was one example of several that showed signs of senility in Judge Brody. As far as we are concerned, Judge Brody is a disgrace to the justice system.

I tried a case before Judge Brody this year. She was wonderful. Prepared, polite, engaged, questioned witnesses when she needed more clarity but otherwise let the lawyers work, timely, funny at times, extremely respectful to witnesses. Could not ask for a better experience.

I was astonished when, at oral argument on a motion that would effectively decide the case, it was apparent Judge Brody had not read the briefs. Her opinion was written within days and clearly got some facts wrong.

Judge Brody does not easily grasp difficult concepts (if at all) and seems to rule from the hip rather than on any principled basis. Her rulings appear to be based on her (erroneous) perception of what will get the parties to settle rather than the law or facts of the case. She is unpredictable, disorganized, and disjointed in her thinking.

Judge Brody is down to earth and very pleasant to appear before. She appreciates hard work from counsel.

Judge Brody is unpleasant, biased, mean and an overall discredit to the bench. I was involved in a civil jury trial before her. She beraded counsel, lost track of the facts, was insulted -- indeed personally insulted -- when counsel did not want to settle, and imposed a gag order that she only held one party to. She was rude to both counsel and witnesses. She did not appear to be particularly familiar with the rules of evidence. It was obvious from the outset that Judge Brody had certain attorneys that she approved of (I was lucky enough to be among these, but only because I was forced to degrade myself into kowtowing), and others of whom she did not. She was not afraid to make her feelings obvious to everyone in the Courtroom -- including the Jury. If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself before Judge Brody, be prepared to cater to her every whim, to pucker up, and to deviate considerably from common sense, sound judgment and the law.

I had heard some positive things about her but was extremely disappointed. I was admitted pro hac vice in a matter before her. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience. She seemed too eager to pre-judge the matter in an effort to compel a settlement, and her rulings during trial seemed unbalanced and one-sided against the party she felt was the impediment to settlement (A multi-party case, I was neither the beneficiary or the victim of these rulings). I thought the case could have settled if she had a more balanced perspective of the relative merits of the parties' positions.

Judge Brody, while very bright, allows her emotions and feelings towards parties and counsel to interfere with sound judgment. She attempts to strong-arm, even threaten parties to settle. Demands kowtowing to her every demand and whim. Sycophants do well before this judge.
