Extremely intelligent, fair and well-intentioned. He is a courageous judge. He is not afraid to make a decision adverse to powerful interests. His decisions are well written.

Most pro-government judge on DC federal bench, brutal in sentencing. Seems to have a chip on his shoulder when it comes to wealthy litigants and retained defense lawyers.
