Judge Ward is strict but fair. He is also very bright, demonstrating a clear understanding of the issues he is asked to resolve. If you follow the local rules and litigate your case in good faith, there is no better judge to appear before.

He should be indicted for the illegal scam system that he created along with the other 'local' counsel who are co-conspirators. I cannot believe that the Senate Judiciary Committee has allowed this situation to occur. There is no justice in his courtroom. There is only extortion. Let's hope that patent reform shuts down this scam.

Poorly educated and incompetent to try patent cases. Piece of human garbage who would be removed from the bench in any sane country.

Great judge! Pushes his cases. Doesn't take any crap off either side. As long as you do what you are supposed to do, no problem as far as temperment.

Bad judge. Leans heavily on defense attorneys to 'pay' or else their claims are going to one of his notorious juries. He makes clear that he will not resolve meritable dispositive motions before the jury is empaneled. The only ecoonomy in Marshal, Texas is the money the judge secures for the local bar - a plaintiff's dream judge, if you hire a local attorney as local counsel.

One of the worst as far as temperment goes. If he doesn't like what he is doing...why is he doing it? He needs to be fair and treat all parties the same whether they are individuals, the gov't or big business.
