I had the misfortune of trying a copyright case before Judge Garcia. Although my client prevailed at trial, I found Judge Garcia to be extremely poorly prepared, biased (especially since has been reversed twice by the Ninth Circuit), and discourteous. He tried to sway the jury to his own viewpoint by disparaging counsel in front of the jury. Ultimately his tactics backfired, and the jury saw through it. Honestly, I would hate to be before him in a complex case again.
