Judge Sands is the type of judge that makes you happy there is a jury system.

Judge Sands is the hardest working, fairest judge I have worked with in over 37 years in the legal field. He gives all his time to the cases. All his rulings are given great consideration before doing so. It is an honor to work with him.

Judge Sands is the fairest judge I have ever known; completely, repeatedly unbiased; considerate of others (including staff, lawyers, parties, and jurors); intelligent, fair, considerate, even-tempered, never too quick to judge; gives full consideration to each and every decision that is made. THIS Judge has never gotten the much-too-often-acquired illness called ROBE-ITIS!

Judge Sands is one of the hardest working, and yet one of the fairest, judges that I have ever seen. He is truly concerned for each party, but also knows when a party isn't being completely honest with him. He can be flexible where flexibility is needed, but will also call somebody to task when it is needed. He keeps a firm but fair hand on his courtroom - and it shows. Each decision is well-thought-out and carefully considered.

A very nice person, but not a legal scholar.
