We were involved in complex comercial litigation before Judge Conti. The case was unnecessarily and painfully slow and expensive. The Judge does not seem to understand the dynamics of the parties or the issues. EVERY dispute no matter how small is treated as a fully briefed and argued academic excercise, with endless rights to respond and reargue. She holds hearings for no reason. Although the Judge believes she is expert in e discovery, there was no sense of propostionality or reason, and it cost hundreds of thousands more than it should have and delayed the case for a least a year. Her lack of litigation experience as a practioner is obvious. The Judge also appears to favor women counsel to an unfair degree; she'll even indulge distrespectful and improper conduct--from women. The Judge forced a settlement because the parties knew the trial would be endless, with a million unnecessary sidebars. A VERY POOR choice for commercial matters.

I have tried criminal cases in numerous federal districts. This is hands down the worst federal judge I have ever appeared in front of. Her most glaring flaw is a total lack of common sense. Every objection results in a side bar, simply atrocious.

Judge Flowers-Conti appears to lack rigor with regard to questions of law. She shows prejudice against larger issues, and her sloppy methods leaves her poorly-crafted decisions subject to appeal and remand. She lacks a firm foundation in civil proceedure and tends to retain jurisdiction in issues concerning diversity of the workplace without thoughtful reflection. Her poor acumen and sloppy methods make her a poor choice. Her bias extends to the political arena favoring GOP related entities.
